A new meta seems to be emerging from the smoke, and a couple of steps can be taken can help this new meta rise. I quite personally LOVE the LMG. It is super fun to play with, and if it becomes the replacer for the HMG, I'd be happy.Increase its damage.
The LMG has a pretty good fire rate (which we'll get to in a second) but the damage isn't too solid. It can take many bullets to finally kill your target, so the HMG, with more damage and ammo, seems more viable. The damage needs to be upped a bit.
Increase Bullet Spread.
The spread of the LMG gives it laser-beam accuracy, and if you manage to miss a shot with it, you should be given an award. The spread should be increased, BUT NOT DRASTICALLY!!! It should be increased by about 10% or less/more.
Increase Ammo Capacity.
"Are you crazy?!" No. Many parts of Manoyana, Gefangnis, Moon, and Desert are not ment for CQB combat. As such, if the bullet spread is to be increased, the Hit/Miss ratio will undoubtedly increase for the LMG. The amount of bullets in the gun should increase by 10 bullets, at least.
These changes are in the hope that the HMG isn't the top picked weapon, and that it has a competitor for it's slot in your inventory.

Bullpup/Assault Rifle is still better, the damage output and fire rate make it comparable to an auto sniper, albeit it's magazine size low. Sniper Rifle or LMG come at a tie for second, as they're in all maps I'm pretty sure.

I already fixed the sniper on Manoyama, just click the wall to respawn it if it's not there.
