Is there a guard or warden that is becoming dangerously too incompetent? Do the admins not give a shit or don't think its serious but the whole team is worried?

/voteguardban, /votegb, or /vgb are variants of a command that any guard can use.

Just type "/voteguardban [name] [reason]", "/votegb [name] [reason]", or "/vgb [name] [reason]" to vote to guardban someone. Only a guard, warden, or staff can initiate or vote to prevent prisoners just initiating and voting to get rid of every single guard.

The length of a guardban started by /vgb is always 5 rounds, but a staff can set the length however (s)he wants ("/vgb [name] [reason] [number of rounds]")

/votewardenban, /votewb, or /vwb is a similar command just for wardenbans, but only non-warden guards can use them. It works pretty much the same way as /vgb, but the victim is getting only wardenbanned if the vote is a success.

There has to be 3 guards minimum for any of these commands to work (so that there is atleast one guard that can vote)

The initiator and the victim can not vote. Only the other guards (and warden if he isn't initiator or victim, as for /vgb) can vote.

All staff can destroy the vote with:
/destroyvoteguardban
/desvoteguardban
/destroyvotegb
/desvotegb
/destroyvgb
/desvgb
/dvgb
/dvoteguardban
/dvotegb

or

/destroyvotewardenban
/desvotewardenban
/destroyvotewb
/desvotewb
/destroyvwb
/desvwb
/dvwb
/dvotewardenban
/dvotewb

No way, the staff have final ruling on if the person is getting banned or just a warn. Trust me before we ban people we talk about it in staff chat so that is why it might take long. Also players would just vote to guardban/wardenban the boring wardens or the bad guards that they don't like. So no way
Just drop in and smack the lip, then after that you just drop in drop out, aragagagra.

there are commands for the staff to use to end votes prematurely with nothing changing if they think a vote for a guardban/wardenban is unfair/unneeded/false.

There are many irrational players who always assume they are in the right and will just vote to ban immediately and we have enough to do without having to moderate vote bans. Plus as soon as we would see a vote ban the staff would probably just take action and investigate anyway and then arriving at our own conclusion. Staff are much more experienced at dealing with these things and very often notice things players do not. Especially since we have access to logs and replays which regular players do not. Also the history of Blockland servers and vote based administration has been much less than desirable.

Furthermore making a suggestion and having one of your selling points being admins not giving a shit is quite insulting. If you've got a problem with one or some of us report it to a super admin. We find ourselves dead and not being able to play constantly because we put your reports over our own enjoyment and gameplay of the server. We also discuss most actions taken on the server before they happen and the large majority of the time the decision is unanimous.

this suggestion was made in light of guards that get up close to prisoners and getting shanked, or almost getting shanked, and the warden not saying any orders that will make that "disobeying the warden's orders" and thus guardbannable

or guards that wonder around the map not looking for anyone

or guards that stick with the warden despite any other guard witnessing a prisoner escape, then act dumbfounded when said prisoner comes back and kills every single guard

This is a terrible idea and I do not support this at all. All you need is your butt buddies to vote for someone and bam, it works.

There's a reason why there's staff on all the time.

This sounds extremely abusive.
A party of friends could go out and troll others by giving bans to people they don't like. If a player becomes a problem, we will look into it and give a proper punishment, if deemed necessary.
Staff handle bans, not the players.

Everything that I would want to say has been said by other staff.
